Biography

Dr. Conley served as associate professor and founding chair of Teacher Education Programs in the Graduate School at University of Maryland University College from September 2000 to July 2005. Prior to her university appointment, the Baltimore City Public School System employed Dr. Conley for 29 years. In addition to spending ten years as a classroom teacher, she served as the Assistant Superintendent for Professional Development, Organizational Development, and Attitudinal Reform; Director of Policy Development and Leadership Support; and Director of Human Resources. Dr. Conley earned her B.S. and M.S. at Morgan State University, and her doctorate in education at The George Washington University in Washington D.C. She is the author of several publications to include Alternative Schools: A Reference Handbook published by ABC-CLIO Publishing Company in Santa Barbara, CA.
