The Towson University Police Department delivered food and supplies donated by Season's Pizza to local hospitals April 10.

Season’s Towson location kindly donated 20 pizzas, napkins and paper plates that were then delivered by the police department to the emergency room staffs at both St. Joseph’s Medical Center and Greater Baltimore Medical Center.

Medical professions around the country have been on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"We wanted our health care professionals to know that we admire their bravery and appreciate their dedication to their profession and their passion for helping others," Sergeant Shannon Cotton said. "We wanted them to know that we support them and we’re proud to know them.  Providing them with a free lunch was our way of saying 'thank you' and helping to brighten their day. Seeing them smile was priceless."

This story is one of several related to President Kim Schatzel’s priorities for Towson University: TU Matters to Maryland.
