Button Callout Small/Medium & Large Snippets

There are two variations for the single snippet named 鈥淏utton Callout Small / Medium鈥� 鈥� the small button and the medium button. The variations can be selected by a drop-down menu in the top row of the snippet while in edit mode. The other option for the button callout is a separate snippet known as the 鈥淏utton Callout Large.鈥�

This is a DIY snippet. You can add it to your pages without assistance from Digital Strategy. Make sure to follow all standards outlined in this guide.

This snippet should only be used in the Main Content Region.

 

Example

Button Callout Small

The small button callout allows you to add two small buttons (with the option to select a black or gold color). The buttons will appear side-by-side with a single text link available for each.

Button Callout Medium

The medium button callout allows you to add two small buttons (with the option to select a black or gold color) with descriptive text for each button as well as a text link for each.

Button Callout Large

The large button callout allows you to add a single call to action message with two small buttons with links. The buttons will appear side-by-side below your descriptive copy with a link available for each. Note: this is one of two snippets (see button callout small / medium)  that will replace the flexible button callout.

Required and Optional Fields

Button Callout Small

  • type: select small button (required)
  • color: select black or gold (required)
  • button 1 link / button 2 link: offers an opportunity to add a single, short line of text and a link for each button (required)

Button Callout Medium

  • type: select medium or small buttons (required)
  • color: select black or gold (required)
  • description: an informative sentence about each link (required)
  • button 1 link / button 2 link: offers an opportunity to add text and a link for each button (required)

Button Callout Large

  • color: select black or gold (required)
  • description: optional but recommended 
  • button links (optional) offers an opportunity to add text and a link for each button (required)

When to Use It

  • use the button callout small when you need to short, text links appearing side-by-side
  • use the button callout medium when you need two text links with a text description above each link
  • use the button callout large when you need text links with a single sentence or two of text description above both links 

When to Use Something Else

  • if you have more than one or two brief sentences of text description it would be better not to use this snippet
