- The business systems and processes (BSAP) major is the only one of its kind in Maryland. It gives graduates a balanced understanding of business principles and information technology. Through the program, students earn the SAP Recognition Award, which signals to employers that they are adept at the leading enterprise resource planning software used by thousands of companies worldwide. 
- Students pursuing the business administration major with a concentration in project management have the opportunity to earn the Student Certificate in Project Management (SCiPM). This certificate demonstrates students’ knowledge of project management to employers and lays the foundation for continued professional growth.
- Students pursuing the business administration major with the business analytics track will be able to organize and analyze data, discover patterns, and derive business intelligence and insights to drive better decision making.

Businesses are dependent on various systems like ERPs, CRMs and SCMs to operate. Data from these systems are analyzed to make intelligent decisions to further help the organization strategically. Companies need individuals that understand how systems work, the value of data analytics and business visualization.
Students with a degree in business systems and processes (BSAP) are primed for a variety of careers, industries and job functions. Typical job titles include system analyst, computer information analyst, and SAP consultant.
Project management is also a vitally important function for businesses and organizations. Students with a degree in business administration with a project management (PMBA) concentration are prepared for careers such as:
- Project manager/coordinator/specialist
- Business analyst
- Quality assurance analyst
- Operations analyst
Students majoring in business administration with a business analytics track or minoring in business analytics will find analytical jobs such as data analyst, business analyst, management analyst and market research analyst. Students will also be able to enhance their career paths in traditional job functions which require analytical and technical skills.
The Accelerated B.S./M.S. in Supply Chain Management allows business administration majors, business systems and processes majors, and business analytics minors to complete their undergraduate and graduate degrees in as little as five years. The program merges the in-demand skills of project management and supply chain management, which are good foundations for careers such as:
- Professional supply chain analyst
- Operation manager
- Procurement / purchasing manager
- Consultant / contractor

Flexible options
The Business Analytics and Technology Management Department offers several undergraduate programs: business systems and processes, business administration with a concentration in project management, business administration with a track in business analytics, and a minor in business analytics.
The department also offers graduate programs in supply chain management and project, program and portfolio management and an accelerated B.S./M.S. in supply chain management.
Student Research
Motivated undergraduates who are interested in studying a topic in-depth or want to assist in faculty research may enroll in Independent Study.  Students need to be fully admitted into the BUAD or BSAP major in order to be eligible and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or above.  Previous projects include collaborative scheduling in project management, elections security, data visualization, etc.
