Field Experiences
Each teacher candidate who has reached the appropriate level of competency will have a series of progressively responsible field experiences, linked to requirements specific to each program. The CPP facilitates making placements for these experiences. Prospective or current students should contact their individual departments for specific requirements and timelines.
A requirement for admission to all teacher education programs is the completion of a notarized self-disclosure form of criminal background.
Towson University has implemented a Network of Professional Development Schools to provide all students with an intensive and extensive internship, including assignments integrated with the internship experience and possible on-site course work .
Students enrolled in the teaching internship are charged a lab fee. This fee is used to cover costs related to clinical experiences.
