Women in Leadership
Women In Leadership focuses on increasing the leadership capacity of women students and preparing them for success in the workplace. Presenters are students, alumnae, faculty, staff, and local businesswomen.
Theme: Permission 2 Pause
Our Spring theme was so impactful, we're back this fall with Part Two! Permission 2 Pause recognizes the many reasons why women need to take a moment, step back, pause, and reflect. Embedded in this is the idea that women often need to give ourselves permission to be or do something. Sessions will empower women to find themselves, explore their ambitions, and set goals for success.

Keynote
Women, Textiles, and Modern Art
Keynote Speaker: Professor Emerita J. Susan Isaacs has degrees in studio art and art history and taught art history and museum studies for over 30 years at Towson University. She was curator of the Department of Art + Design Galleries at TU, as well as curator of exhibitions around the country and internationally. She completes her Master of Fine Arts degree at Towson University in interdisciplinary art in December. Her exhibition, is now on display in the Holtzman MFA Gallery.
Description: A brief look at textile art in the United States by women artists, including quilts and fabric sculpture.

Asian Women in Leadership: Thriving Unapologetically Beyond Cultural Borders
Presenter: Nadea Armogan (she/her), Coordinator for Bias Education and Advocacy, Towson University
Description: Cultural expectations can sometimes put added pressure on women who are already managing multiple responsibilities and seeking to develop their own sense of identity. Finding balance between the two can easily allow us to forego prioritizing our own needs and self-care. In this workshop, we will have an honest conversation and an opportunity to reflect on how to accomplish it all by putting ourselves first. Participants can expect to explore ways to lead with confidence, shine through their own unique identities, embrace vulnerability as strength, and incorporate strategies that promote well-being.

Leading with Self-Love

Description: This workshop will focus on pausing as one step on the journey to attaining self-love. We will discuss some of the "unattractive" aspects of that journey and how to approach feelings of shame, guilt, and embarrassment with less fear.
