Suggested Course Sequence

All students are encouraged to review  when planning a schedule. This is to verify that all degree requirements are being met and that the student's sequence is on track for their planned graduation date. 

Total Units

  • B.F.A. in Dance Performance: 120 units
  • B.F.A. in Dance Performance with K-12 Dance Teacher Certification: 139 units

Electives 

B.F.A. Performance majors, not in the K-12 program, are required to take 15 units of electives in DANC courses. At least 6 units of electives must be in Modern Repertory, Ballet Repertory, or Dance Company.

B.F.A Performance majors in the K-12 program are required to take 3 units of electives in dance courses. These three units of electives must be in Modern Repertory, Ballet Repertory, or Dance Company. 

Performance Milestone

Students must complete 9 Performance Milestone points to receive the B.F.A. All students are encouraged to review requirements of the Performance Milestone when selecting extracurricular performing activities.
