The National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH) is the premiere student leadership organization focused on promoting recognition and philanthropy within the residence halls. NRHH is comprised of exemplary residential student leaders who seek to appreciate the unseen and unspoken dedication in the residence halls. NRHH also seeks to engage with and give back to the TU community.
Service
Serving the community is a internal part of NRHH. We have a committment to the Towson community to serve and recognize others. We foster projects that meet the needs of our community while providing our members the opportunity to give back to the communities that serve them.
Recognition
We prioritize recognition in various ways. Our Of the Month awards highlight individuals on campus who make an impact, big or small. Additionally, we host events like Maintenance Appreciation Day and Resident Assistant (RA) Day to further acknowledge the contributions within the Towson community.
What We Do
Our pillars guide our collaboration with University Residence Government, Housing & Residence Life, Civic Engagement, and other community partners to host service events and promote recognition and leadership. Members attend regular general body meetings each semester to organize these events and partnerships.
Membership Requirements
NRHH candidates are required to have a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA, live in university or Capstone housing for at least one semester, and demonstrate positive contributions to our residence halls.
Of The Month Awards
"OTMs" (Of the Months) are a way to recognize outstanding contributions within the campus community. There are 16 categories for recognition, including First-Year Students, Social Programs, Organizations, Student Staff Members, and Resident Assistants, among others.
This recognition starts on your campus level and can possibly reach regional and NACURH levels. The NACURH website can provide more information on nominations.
