The College of Health Professions (CHP) Living Learning Community provides members with opportunities to connect with students, faculty, staff and alumni from CHP and access resources that will prepare them for a future career in health professions.
Students in this community will receive social and academic support to enrich their first-year college experience.
This community is open to residents interested in pursuing any major within the College of Health Professions including:
*The CHP LLC is open to first-year students who aspire to enter the screened and highly competitive nursing major, but being selected for the LLC does not guarantee or grant priority for admission to the major.
Residents of the CHP Community must be enrolled in majors within the College of Health Professions. Students selected for the learning living community will be enrolled in a common section of TSEM 102 (the Towson Seminar course) related to careers in health professions.
Complete and submit your academic interest form by the deadline provided by Academic Advising. Classes can’t be assigned until the academic interest form has been submitted.
Incoming first-year students interested in the CHP community must complete the online housing request process. This includes agreeing to the terms, payment and conditions of the housing contract.
During the online process, students can identify interest in the CHP Community.
The community will have a resident assistant, community mentors and role models. Additionally, there will be support from the College of Health Professions and Housing and Residence Life.
Student rooms are suite-style, (i.e., two double rooms sharing a bath).
To be assigned with your roommate in a living learning community, your roommate must also select interest in the living learning community when applying for university housing. They must also meet any criteria necessary to be a part of the community.
All medical accommodation is submitted through Accessibility and Disability Services.
The CHP community was established in fall 2023.
